Time for the polarizer
Since I lost my polarizar I have come across quite a few situations where I have found that I would need it, or at least it will be really handy. One of these was the zoo and trying to see the penguins through the glass. My reflection and the floor made some OK photos turn out much worse.
Lesson learnt, get a polarizer, it’s worth it for those few occasions!

A great photographic shop →
I always forget this site when I need new filters etc so I thought I would share it and also I can use this as a reminder.

Experimental photography needs some tech
So I have backed this awesome kickstarter project: B-Squares so that I can use the Arduino squares to make some fantastic photographical toys. For starters there is a tutorial on making an IR remote/intervalometer with Arduino so I am off to a good start already.
I am already thinking some kind of remote shutter release with a beam so I can catch animals without disturbing them… Who knows...

Busy weekend = no posts
Signed up for a yearly membership to the Zoo, and spent the day there - ~1200
Went to a motorbike race and spent the day there -~1200
Played with my IR Filter that just turned up on Saturday morning!
Spent the rest of the time trying to edit down my photos - all ~2400!

IR Filter
I have ordered one. I hope it turns up. The only problem is that an unconverted D90 is not meant to be the best, but I will just have to use a long exposure time, until I can afford an old converted D50!
